To the people who are unhappy at this release, please realise that this girl is NOT your WS Limited!She will not take away form her monetary value if thats what matters to you! This girl will never be your original Beryl. This is not a re release! She has no special faceup or fantasy parts that will make her as unique as yours! heck, the fact yours is WS should be anough! She is still your limited guys! Please dont be angry and take this away from those who do love her this way.

If Beryl and another unical MD molds have a twins, like Sard was a brother of Dia - no problem with re-realizes can be, there are lots of Dia-boyz in community. But now Soom dissapionted his strongest fans, Beryl was very hard-to-find and expensive girl, and she has no available twins.
I can just wish to everybody who likes "unical" NS Beryl to be lucky - sure, everybody hope to get her, but actually most of this happy people will be upset soon. It's a Soom, babe =)

To ppl that "hate this" aka childish and unreasonable:
If you bought the limited version at a high price that's your responsibility alone. Even if you asked the company about re-releases, at the time, it may well have been impossible. It's because of requests for re-releases that it happens in the first place. Sell your limited one off if you want this version instead of whining. They are very different looking after all.

Thank you Soom! its obvious that alot of people are upset about this, but its been 2 years since she was first released. What is the huge deal? If its just the doll without the fantasy parts, then MD Beryl is still limited. There are so many of your Monthlies I loved but I didn't want the fantasy bits, so this is so perfect! There are other people out there who want the fantasy bits so the limited MD will still hold their value.
And if people just bought the monthlies to sell to make their own profit, then its them that are the greedies and the liars and cheats.
You're a great company and release amazing dolls!

Beryl is not being rereleased with her full fantasy parts. Also, no one makes you pay exorbitant amounts of money for a doll (no matter HOW much you love it), this is an extremely expensive hobby.

I know there are folks mad about the re-releases, but this isn't the same as the MDs, there's no fantasy part and it's in a skintone not offered as an MD. Only thing the same is the sculpt of the head (body is pretty much basic even with Md or basic lines), and some people that loved the sculpt has a chance to get it, the MD version will still be limited because of the skintone and extra parts and will still be worth more. I may not get this one, but I am glad Soom is doing this as I've been wanting certain MDs. People need to stop complaining about Soom being greedy, paying crazy amount on second hand was the choice of the buyer, you're paying not just the sculpt but the skintone and fantasy parts, this doesn't have either of those. I look forward to the future options, (certain teenies in NS for example :D)

First off...there is absolutey no need for the childish remarks that mave been made regarding suing Soom, how much the company 'sucks' etc etc. In addition, there is no need for people who are happy about this release to bash those who aren't. Everyone is in this hobby for different reasons and all are valid, including those who collect limiteds because they are limited.

How do I feel about it? Well...the fact that Soom has stated over and over again that they would not be re-releasing monthly limiteds and then, indeed, releases Beryl in another incarnation, is quite a turn-off for me. It added an air of excitement to Soom that made me love this company.

Just look at IpleHouse. Their Limited and Basic dolls have the same molds and bodies, but Limited editions always have different (from basic dolls) skin colour, make-up, clothes, some additional parts of body. Even adding vampire fangs can make a doll Limited.

And this is ALREADY ENOUGH to make dolls Limited!

Many companies does this. It`s not a crime for Soom to do the same.

And all those people, who are shouting right now, I guess, they care about the price of their dolls on the second-hand market much more, than about the fact, that their dolls are really Limited.

I think this is a wonderful chance for people to get molds they missed out on. I bought two MDs at aftermarket prices, but I am not sad to see a re-release of the MDs in a basic form. As long as they are not offered in the same skin tones as the original MDs and do not come with fantasy parts, I think the MDs will still hold their "value" (be it the limited number or dollar quantity, whichever you choose to hold in high reguard).

And if you love your MDs only because they are wroth a lot of money, then perhaps you should rethink your investments? This could be a long running "fade hobby". In twenty years perhaps our dolls will not be worth much at all, but I personally will still love my dolls the same. :)

Could you all just come down and behave like adults?
First, nobody forced anyone of you to buy the first Beryl for ridiculous amounts of money. That's YOUR own problem.
Second, if you just buy dolls because they are oh so limited so that you can show off and think you're better than the other collectors, than you fail at life!
Apart from that this Beryl is a whole different thing. There are no fantasy parts and she's normal skin. You should just be happy that you got the MD Beryl and stop complaining.

To haters: Nothing is taken from you if they release a different version of Beryl or any other MD doll. You still have your limited doll, now others can have theirs. Mod yourselves a OOAK if you can't cope with other people having the same sculpt.

I am embarrassed for those who have been flaming this release. The company made the doll, and they can release it when they like. People should love Sooms dolls for their awesome quality and beautiful sculpts.

Soom has done a wonderful thing re-releasing this girl. She is not an EXACT copy of the previous Beryl. The skin tone and lack of fantasy parts almost makes them two different dolls. That is like saying the tan/grey skin monthly doll is the same as the normal or ws version that accompanies it. If you bought a tan doll and got normal would you be 'ok' with it because it's the same damn sculpt? NO! It IS idfferent and this is the exact same scenario, only it's not even a full replica of the MD because there are no extra parts parts. People who love the original Beryl would not settle for a replica like this, while those who do like it would obviously try for her. Just be happy that soom is listening to its customers and filling a market niche to stop a flow of jacked up market prices and month/year long searches for individual body parts.

I'm really surprised and disappointed. I didn't like this mold and didn't purchase a Beryl, but I know many people that DID because it was a limited time sale and/or in order to get a doll that was supposed to be a very limited, collector one. They made choices, efforts, split orders in order to be able to get her.

Your company's customers believed your assesment that the MD dolls were strictly and definitely limited ones. Oh well, I guess Soom company's image and sells will be affected by such blatant lies and disrespect :/...

Fantastic choice to release.
Thankyou so much Soom for listening to people who loved sculpts but chose not to, or were unable to buy the first time the sculpt was released in the limited edition doll.
It's fantastic you are considering releasing old face sculpts, and that you are choosing to release them in a new way, so that the old limited edition still has value and originality!

Can I suggest/ask giving us a Normal skin/Tan/Grey skin option? I would love to see releases of the sculpts released so far, released as new resin colours.

No whiteskin, in order to maintain the original release Beryl as a collectors piece, that might keep the complaints down.

But thankyou for listening to customers and considering the releasing basic dolls.
