Totally missed this one
Some dolls I see and can't get the money together. Some I see and then miss the super short window of purchase. This one I totally didn't know about. A shame really. I love those ears.
"Secret society" lol. I'm amused.  I'll have to hope for a white skin head to appear there. I won't hold my breath.

I'm surprised by a comment of not being able to see a female version of Heliot. While I'd want "ears" here as a boy (on Breccia paws I have), I have an original Heliot on a Nephlin body and Sphaler claws (which are a bit masculine in the thigh) and she's gorgeous!

Not all of us mind waiting, I guess...

Yep, offer a girl and double the sales
I'm with Dragon, this face would make a gorgeous female doll. I don't see why they don't offer a body choice with this. And before the kool-aid drinkers starting talking about FCE and splits and such let's acknowledge that stuff like that is for people that don't have a life outside of dolls. That secret society stuff is outdated. If you want to run a business then give the customer a choice up front and take their money. I'd buy a full set right now if it came on a girl body. But I do't have time for complicated nonsense. Very sweet head though.

So Not One, But Two...?
Waiting for Soom to release a human female Super Gem in grey resin...?
At this current rate, I'll be waiting for quite a long time, it would seem! The next female FCE, most likely...

But here's the thing: going through all the hassle you're suggesting, with not one, but TWO splits, waiting for who-knows-how long in between ... I don't see it being worth the aggravation.
The way I see it, it's Soom's job to make it easy for me to buy their products. If they're not interested ... well, then neither am I.
And in the meanwhile, the I and W Companies seem perfectly eager to collect my money instead. I'll give it to them.

As for buying second hand — nowadays, even buying directly from Soom has unfortunately been quite enough of buying a pig in a poke, with the quality problems we've seen these last few years. Taking the additional risk of buying second hand, where you can't even be sure you're not actually getting a recast ... REALLY not worth it.

umm...
Find someone who's selling one on the second hand market, or wait for a grey female to come out and join a split for the body?

Not Just After ... Nor Just Before ... Nor ...
Nor would they release a female doll just BEFORE a female FCE, it seems.
Nor, indeed, for some time before, it would appear.

In fact — when exactly WAS it that Soom last released an all-new female Gem or Super Gem sculpt...?
Not too surprising if fans of female dolls have given up by now, is it? You say they release "a lot" of female dolls, but for the last year or two ... perhaps longer; I've lost count ... I'm just not seeing it.

My point being that it would well behoove Soom to open up an option of buying this doll with a female body, too, while they're at it — it's not like they haven't done that exact manoeuvre before, and done well enough out of it.
It's not as if it would need any modifications even to the face-up.

I certainly can't see the harm in doing so. But you seem to disagree...?

As for finding a split … okay, so I'd get the head, and somebody would get the hugely popular new male body, headless to boot.
So as not to add another floating head to my collection — where would you suggest I get the grey female Super Gem body to wear it...?

Dragon,
No. I'm not missing the point. I was just saying you'll probably have an easier time finding a split for the head, rather than waiting for it to be released on a girls body since they just did female FCE -- They're not going to release a female doll just after the female FCE.

How come?
How come you can only order him on the new 2016 body? Honestly I am not a fan of the body, I would prefer the old 2012 body, looks a lot nicer and doesn't have that weird thing on its back :/ ... Honestly I can't see this sculpt as a girl but to each their own. But unfortunately Soom you do not have my business for this boy because of the body option, but great job on his beautiful face ❤️

Missing the Point a Bit, Aren't We?
Soom did indeed just have the female FCE — i.e., basically a sale of old overstocked or unsold products. The operative term here being "old".

Certainly not what I at least would call a "release" of any kind, really — much less a new one.

Whereas this "Heliot" would certainly make a very lovely — and all-new! — girl indeed!
Offering such an option and thereby widening the market appeal would only be sound business sense.

ummm...
dragon,

why don't you just find a split for the head or something...? Soom just had the female FCE... they release girl dolls a lot....

Best Girl Sculpt for a LOOONG Time!!
Give me this head on a female body, and I'm sold!

So, Soom — give us a female body option here, and my money is yours.
As a boy though … not interested, I'm afraid.

I do confess to being confused, though. It seems Soom has just about stopped making female dolls. Perhaps they've conceded that business to the I Company? Oh, well.
But here comes the first really nice female sculpt I've seen here for ever and a day — and they name it "Heliot" and put it on a boy body!?
Eh…?
